      Tatarstan’s practice of using artificial intelligence in conducting business inspections received a positive evaluation and was recommended by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development for replication in the country’s regions.

      In Tatarstan, a chatbot has been created to help businesses prepare for inspections and interact effectively with regulatory authorities. The project was recommended for implementation in the regions as an effective tool fully consistent with the objectives and methodology of federal policy in the field of control and supervisory activities and the systematic work to reduce administrative pressure on businesses, which is carried out by order of Raisa of Tatarstan.

      Since 2018, the Republic of Tatarstan has operated the digital platform “Verified Business” (provbiz.ru). The portal was created to promptly inform business entities about current legal requirements in the field of control (supervisory) activities (CSA). The platform provides businesses with free access to useful services and knowledge that allow them to effectively prepare to interact with regulatory authorities. The project was implemented at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy of the RT together with the Republic’s Prosecutor’s Office.

      For entrepreneurs’ convenience, a smart chatbot has been launched on the portal. The digital assistant was created in response to a request from the republic’s business community. In real time, the service provides information about the requirements of regulatory authorities, offers consultations on legal aspects of doing business, and helps navigate all stages of an inspection.

      The smart assistant will notify users about planned inspections in the current year and the procedures for conducting them. With the chatbot, an entrepreneur will be able to prepare for an upcoming inspection, receive an algorithm of actions to follow during the supervisory activity, and obtain justification for presenting the documents requested by an inspector.

      The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan plans to refine and expand the chatbot’s functionality, taking into account user feedback and changes in legislation.
