      First graders of the Chistopol district took part in the important campaign "First Grader — a Safe Pedestrian", which was held as part of the large-scale operation "Attention — Children!".

      To make the route of young pedestrians to and from school as safe as possible, representatives of the State Budgetary Institution "Road Traffic Safety" and the Department of Education gave the children almost 700 reflective items — special keychains and iron-on patches. These simple but very important accessories make children visible on the road in the dark.

      But the campaign did not stop at handing out useful gifts! Older pupils — members of YUID (Youth Traffic Inspectors) squads — while giving reflective accessories to the first graders advised them to attach them to their backpacks and outerwear, and reminded the children of the rules of conduct on the road. The head of the prevention unit of the State Budgetary Institution "Road Traffic Safety", Svetlana Ryasova, held an engaging quiz for the primary school students of School No. 1. In a playful format she tested their knowledge of the rules of the road and once again reminded them of the vital habit — always wearing reflectors.
