      Federal beneficiaries in the Zainsk district have less than a month left to make an important choice that directly affects their health.

      You must submit an application to the Social Fund of Russia by October 1, 2025, if you want to receive the social services package (NSU) in kind. After that date it will be impossible to change your decision. Currently, 4,252 people in the Zainsk district are entitled to receive the social medical services package. However, as of July, only 1,932 of them use this option. The remaining 2,320 people chose a cash compensation, which medical professionals consider a serious risk to health and finances. When a chronic disease flares up, people are forced to spend huge sums on medicines they could have received for free.

      Expert opinion: “This is a strategic investment in your own health”

      Deputy Chief Physician of the State Autonomous Healthcare Institution "Zainsk Central District Hospital," Irina Isaeva, urges beneficiaries to take this choice seriously and strongly recommends returning to or retaining the in-kind form of the benefit.

      “By choosing cash compensation instead of the social services package, a person often does not calculate all the risks,” Irina Isaeva notes. “The compensation amount is not comparable to the cost of even one course of modern drugs, for example, for treating cardiovascular diseases or diabetes. The NSU is your strategic investment in your own health, your insurance in case of an exacerbation. This is especially important for patients with chronic conditions whose treatment must be continuous. We often see people who refused the benefit later regret it bitterly, but it can be restored only within the established deadlines.”

      Who is at risk?

      It is especially dangerous for people with chronic diseases to refuse the social package:

      - cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, ischemic heart disease);

      - oncological diseases;

      - diabetes mellitus;

      - respiratory diseases (bronchial asthma, COPD).

      These four groups of diseases account for 80% of deaths in Russia, and their treatment requires continuous and costly therapy.

      What do those who refuse lose?

      The social services package (NSU) includes:

      - Provision of necessary medicines by doctor’s prescription.

      - Provision of medical devices and consumables.

      - Specialized therapeutic nutrition for children with disabilities.

      - Vouchers for sanatorium-resort treatment, including free travel to and from the place of rest.

      Important: if you refuse the NSU, patients discharged from hospital lose the right to receive free medicines for follow-up treatment.

      Who is eligible for the benefit?

      People entitled to the NSU include persons with disabilities (including children with disabilities), participants and disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War, combat veterans, residents of besieged Leningrad and other federal beneficiaries.

      How to restore benefits?

      To restore the right to receive free medicines, vouchers and other services, you must submit the appropriate application strictly by October 1, 2025.

      This can be done:

      - At the client service office of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR).

      - Through the Gosuslugi portal.

      - Through MFCs.

      Do not leave it until the last day! Remember that social services are your reliable insurance. Do not miss the chance to retain the possibility of free treatment throughout next year.
