A resident of Tatarstan struck his elderly wife, and the next morning discovered that she had died.

      In Tatarstan, a 70-year-old man is accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on his wife. This was reported by Andrey Sheptitsky, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Tatarstan.

      According to the investigation, on June 11 the man was drinking alcohol with his 69-year-old wife. At some point an argument broke out between them, during which the man struck the woman on the head. As a result, she fell, sustaining an injury, and lost consciousness.

      The next morning the man discovered that his wife had died.

      The criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court.
