      The President of the United States, Donald Trump, expects to hold telephone talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the coming days. The American leader said this during a conversation with reporters at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, TASS reports.

      “Very soon. In the next couple of days,” Trump replied when asked when he intends to hold the next telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation.

      The politician expressed confidence that the U.S. will be able to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. “We will be able to do it. This whole situation with Russia and Ukraine. We will be able to do it. I am sure that we will,” he said.

      At the same time, Trump stressed that he is unhappy with the continuation of hostilities in Ukraine, and said that several European leaders will visit the United States for consultations on bringing the armed confrontation to an end.

      “We are having very interesting discussions. Certain European leaders will come to our country on Monday and Tuesday separately,” the U.S. President clarified.
