A lesson in courage featuring Special Military Operation veteran Alfred Khaibullin was held in Kazan.

      The Tatarstan regional branch of the All-Russian public organization “Young Guard of United Russia,” with the support of the party, held a lesson of courage at Kazan State Agrarian University. Veteran of the special military operation Alfred Khaibullin and more than 150 students took part in the event.

      The meeting was held as part of the project “Hero of Our Time. Heirs of Victory,” whose goal is to strengthen patriotism among young people, preserve historical memory and form civic identity. The project’s implementation was supported by the Raisa Tatarstan grant.

      Alfred Khaibullin, a volunteer with the call sign “Stary,” served on the Kherson direction, defended the village of Kalinovskoye and other populated areas. After leaving military service upon reaching the maximum age, he continues to work as a civilian, engaged in patriotic education of young people.

      At the meeting the veteran told students about his combat path, the difficult battles and trials he had to go through. He noted that in hard moments soldiers found support among civilians: it was their sincere involvement, willingness to help and to share their last that gave the fighters strength.

      According to Khaibullin, service involved not only the fulfillment of combat tasks but also losses, hard decisions and tests of endurance. However, it was precisely cohesion, mutual assistance and faith in comrades that helped overcome dangerous situations.

      The veteran emphasized the importance of such meetings, noting that it is necessary to pass on to young people the values of love for the Motherland and readiness to defend it. He reminded that today there are fewer and fewer veterans, and therefore those who themselves have gone through military trials should take their place in the work of patriotic education.

      Linar Arslanov, an activist of the Kazan branch of the Young Guard of United Russia, said that such events arouse sincere interest among students. According to him, young people ask questions, stay for personal communication with the heroes and thus gain valuable experience.

      Arslanov noted that such projects really help form a sense of responsibility and patriotism in young people.
