      The sizes of base salaries of military personnel and employees of a number of federal authorities will be increased by 7.6% from October 1. This is stated in a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. The document clarifies that the salaries are increased 1.076-fold, instead of the previously planned increase of 4.5% provided for by the decree of April 9, 2025. The increase will affect salaries for military positions and ranks of contract servicemen and conscripts, as well as employees of the National Guard troops with special police ranks, employees of internal affairs bodies, institutions of the penal enforcement system, authorities of compulsory enforcement, the Federal Fire Service, customs, and the commanding staff of the Federal Courier Service. The decree notes that the new salary amounts will be rounded up to the nearest whole ruble. Budgetary appropriations from the federal budget are provided for the payments.
