More than 7,300 minors from Tatarstan have used the services of rehabilitation centers.
Thus, in the first eight months of 2025, 7,364 disabled children and children with limited abilities received services at rehabilitation centers for children and adolescents with disabilities.
To provide comprehensive social rehabilitation and habilitation for children with disabilities and limited health capacities, 19 rehabilitation centers operate in Tatarstan, including 8 non-governmental organizations. They are visited annually by more than 11,000 minors, the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.
Thus, in the first eight months of 2025, 7,364 disabled children and children with limited abilities received services at rehabilitation centers for children and adolescents with disabilities.
As the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan said, state social policy, including the implementation of the national project “Family,” is aimed at ensuring equal rights for all citizens, taking into account the specifics of their health. Overall, the comprehensive social rehabilitation system helps children socialize and build their future. To prevent childhood disability, an early intervention system operates, supporting families with at-risk children from birth to three years old.
The main outcomes of such institutions are adaptation in society, successful integration into adult life, and career guidance. For this purpose, they implement the “Profession Around Us” program, which includes forms and methods of work tailored to the minor’s age.
The child follows a path from health diagnostics and motivation toward a profession to corrective measures that promote conscious self-determination. Rehabilitation centers have rooms for training in self-care, computer literacy and sewing, as well as workshops and greenhouses. This entire system is built in cooperation with employment centers.
