An Akhmat midfielder has become a Rubin player.
FC Rubin announced via its official Telegram channel the signing of 32-year-old midfielder Anton Shvets. The player joined the club as a free agent and will play until the end of the 2025/26 season wearing number 30. Previously Shvets played for the Spanish clubs Real Zaragoza and Villarreal B. Since 2017 Shvets had played for Grozny's Akhmat. Over eight seasons he made 187 appearances, scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists. Anton Shvets is among the top five players with the most appearances in the club's history. After eight rounds of the RPL 2025/26 season Rubin sits fifth in the table with 14 points.
