      In May of this year, while coupling wagons, a 51-year-old train assembler sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. On this basis, the Kamsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office conducted an inspection of compliance with labor protection laws at the railway enterprise.

      It was found that there were violations of occupational safety requirements. Officials responsible for this were held administratively liable. Moreover, thanks to a suit by the prosecutor’s office, it was possible to recover compensation for moral damage through the court in favor of the deceased’s minor son.

      “Almetyevsk City Court recovered 500,000 rubles from the employer,” reports the Volga Transport Prosecutor’s Office. The enforcement of this decision is under the supervision of the oversight authority.
