"We're making noodles to help the soldiers": Nizhnekamsk schoolgirls prepare food for SVO fighters

      At Gymnasium No. 1 in the city of Nizhnekamsk a good tradition of helping the front continues. In technology lessons, seventh-grade girls together with their teacher prepare egg noodles for the fighters of the special military operation. This product is especially in demand: it is easy to brew at the front, and the taste of homemade noodles reminds the soldiers of home.

      "When we roll out the noodles, in theory you could even read through them," shares technology teacher Silena Sadykova. "The thinner the dough, the tastier the noodles."

      They use village eggs brought in by both students and teachers. The girls admit they prepare them with a special feeling.

      "Today we are making noodles to help the soldiers. And it will also be useful for us in life, as homemakers," says 7A class student Elvina Nuriakhmetova.

      The gymnasium students have been making noodles for the second year. The finished product is carefully packed and handed over to a humanitarian aid collection point. From there boxes of noodles are sent to the fighters — together with warm words of gratitude.

      "They make them with love, we all pack them, bring them to the collection point. Then either the guys pick them up themselves, or the cargo goes out with a humanitarian convoy," says the chairwoman of STOS for microdistricts 6, 7 and 8, Larisa Orlova.

      Help for the fighters here is not limited to noodles. Schoolchildren write letters, make "dry souls," and survival bracelets. And recently the gymnasium decided to learn how to weave camouflage nets.

      "We have the material, the children's willingness, and the support of parents. All that remains is to wait for the frames that our partners from the Combat Brotherhood will help produce," explains Deputy Director for Educational Work Elmira Gizatullina. "Everything we do" — for our victory. We are very much looking forward to when our children return home.

      This year they also plan to involve parents in the preparation of the noodles.

      Earlier, in his annual address to the State Council of Tatarstan, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, thanked volunteers for their important contribution to supporting the special military operation. "People do this sincerely and from the heart, bringing together similarly concerned citizens, assembling whole teams of like-minded people," noted the head of the republic.

      Later the Rais of Tatarstan spoke about support for participants in the special operation at a meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in the Moscow Kremlin. "There is very large-scale work on humanitarian aid. We go out to every city, to every municipality, we work. The population is actively collecting and so are our companies: 4,389 tonnes have been formed and sent," he remarked. Material prepared with the participation of Nadezhda Bagautdinova.
