The administrations of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan have appealed to residents of building No. 43 on Dubravnaya Street, asking them to refrain from parking cars in the area where emergency repair work is being carried out. The appeal was prompted by repeated ground subsidence above an 800 mm sewer collector built in 1988.

Two cases of ground collapse were recorded over the past 48 hours, occurring about 200 meters apart. Specialists from Vodokanal have already removed the vehicles damaged in the first incident. Emergency repairs are currently underway on the sewer network without shutting off the water supply — a temporary pressurized line is being installed to ensure uninterrupted wastewater discharge. The collector is characterized by a high percentage of wear and is included in the 2025 reconstruction plan under the enterprise’s investment program. The local access road is partially closed and the danger zone is cordoned off. The district administration urges residents to observe the temporary restrictions until the restoration work is completed.
