      A report of an armed robbery at a microfinance office located in the Novo-Savinovsky district was received by the police from an employee of the organization. She explained that in the evening an unknown man in a medical mask entered the premises posing as an ordinary customer. At some point he produced an object resembling a knife and, threatening violence, demanded that all available cash be handed over. Fearing for her life and health, the victim complied with the attacker’s demands and gave him 130,000 rubles. Criminal investigation officers of the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kazan carried out the necessary set of search measures. Police questioned witnesses and eyewitnesses to the crime and studied the recordings from surveillance cameras. The same day the perpetrator was detained at his place of residence. He turned out to be a 29-year-old city resident. The man fully admitted his guilt. At present, by court decision the suspect has been remanded in custody. The investigation of the criminal case, initiated on signs of the crime provided for by Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery,” continues.
