The measures were announced in August, and details emerged recently. So far it is only a draft document, and details may still change. On a competitive basis, 300 housing certificates worth 1 million rubles each will be distributed, although it was initially publicly stated that there would be 350 grants. They can be used to pay the down payment, to repay part of an existing mortgage, or to purchase housing. Also, 350 subsidies of up to ₽20,000 each for renting housing will be distributed per year. The subsidy will be paid to a teacher for 9 months. At the same time, there are a number of conditions — for example, a teacher must have at least three years’ experience and, after receiving the assistance, work for at least five years.
