At the Bugulma Central District Hospital, they explained why an elderly patient was crawling up to the second floor.
On the eve, a video appeared on social networks showing one of the elderly patients of the Bugulma Central District Hospital forced to crawl up the stairs to the second floor because the elevator was broken. Today the press service of the Bugulma Central District Hospital commented on the incident on its Telegram channel. "This happened because the hospital elevator, which was in the process of commissioning and adjustment, broke down. The patient was being examined on a stretcher accompanied by her daughter and a medical worker. Just before being taken up the stairs she suddenly felt unwell, while the medical worker at that time was attending to another patient," the hospital said. At the instruction of the district head Damir Fattakhov, the acting head of the Executive Committee of the BMR, Ruslan Masalimov, went to the scene. "An operational meeting was held, following which apologies were offered to the patient's family and the necessary assistance was provided. The relatives have no complaints against the medical staff," the Bugulma CRB added. In addition, the hospital noted that all measures have been taken for the prompt repair of the elevator. Replacement equipment will be delivered by the manufacturer no later than October 3. At Damir Fattakhov's instruction, during the repair the clinic staff will optimize patient movement routes to minimize the risk of similar incidents repeating.
