Tatarstan has entered the top three regions in subsidies for the modernization of museums and libraries — the Republic of Tatarstan will receive 72.5 million rubles.
72.5 million rubles will be allocated for the modernization of museums and libraries in Tatarstan over the next two years. Corresponding changes were made to the distribution of subsidies for 2025 and the planned period of 2026 and 2027. The document is posted on the official website for the publication of legal acts.
Thus, 45 million will be allocated for the modernization of municipal and regional museums of the republic, and another 27.5 million for library upgrades. Note that Tatarstan has become one of the leaders in the amount of subsidies allocated for modernization. The largest amounts for museum upgrades will go to the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) — 51 million and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) — 45.1 million rubles. The leaders in library modernization are Chechnya (30.7 million) and the DPR (30 million rubles). In both cases Tatarstan ranks third.
The smallest amounts for museum upgrades will go to Smolensk Oblast — 4.9 million, Karachay-Cherkessia — 5.6 million, as well as Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts — 9 million rubles. For library modernization, at the bottom of the list are Kostroma Oblast — 3.1 million, the Republic of Tuva — 5.7 million and the Altai Republic — 6.4 million rubles.
Recall that earlier this week it became known that historical sites in the Kazan Kremlin will be repaired for 105.4 million rubles. Part of the funds will go to repairs at the Museum of Natural History of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Hermitage Center, as well as the Spasskaya Tower.
