Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Liliya Mullagalieva reported that she has been diagnosed with cancer.
Honored Artist of Tatarstan Liliya Mullagalieva announced on her Telegram channel that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She is currently on her way to Saint Petersburg.
The artist noted that she has always shown her fans her entire life — from the stage to her personal life. The singer said that she regularly had tests and ultrasounds, but did not have her thyroid examined, only took hormone tests and did not pay attention to the high antibody level.
So, during a routine check-up the doctors began with an examination of the thyroid. The singer added that by the look on the face of the doctor who performed the ultrasound it was clear that something was wrong. The singer was referred to an endocrine oncologist and for a biopsy. On May 10 she was given the result.
“At first I didn’t believe it, and then I cried. My whole life flashed before my eyes. It hurts me so much that my children still need me, they don’t know how to speak or write. God forbid any of you find yourselves in such a situation!” Liliya wrote.
The singer noted that her friend Chulpan helped her out of despair. She made her believe in herself and be strong. The surgery was scheduled for May 14. At first the singer agreed, but then she declined and decided not to rush.
Initially the artist planned to have the operation in Kazan, but the choice fell on Saint Petersburg. The singer is heading there in hope of the best.
“I really need your prayers, good wishes and energy. May I still have songs, concerts, and many good deeds!” Liliya Mullagalieva noted.
