All 45 municipalities, ministries and agencies joined the project’s work; they also held their events outdoors," he said. The "Summer in Tatarstan" project was initiated by the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. It launched on June 1 and concluded in September. The project was aimed at developing local tourism and activating public spaces. A digital platform "Summer in Tatarstan" was specially created. The platform compiled a poster of various events. "More than 1 million users visited this platform, of which 42% were residents of Tatarstan and 58% were residents of other regions of Russia," Danilov emphasized. He named the Ivan Kupala celebration, the open-air music and entertainment festival VK Fest, a beach market, the ethno-modern festival "Karakuz" in Almetyevsk and the opening of a courtyard area in Naberezhnye Chelny as the project’s largest events. "At these events we presented our brand zone. There we talked about Tatarstan’s achievements, handed out postcards that could be sent to any point in Russia, and distributed products from local manufacturers so that residents could get to know them," the curator of event programs noted.
