Record set: Zainsky District posts high sugar beet yields

      The head of the district personally inspected the progress of field work and spoke with the machine operators. Farmers are simultaneously harvesting several key crops — sugar beet, rapeseed and sunflower. The harvest of the crop most important to the district — sugar beet — has been abundant this year. As of today, the sweet roots have already been harvested from 6,376 hectares, which is 66% of all planned areas. The gross collection of the crop has already reached 293,274 tons with an average yield of 460 centners per hectare.

      Work is progressing especially rapidly at the agrofirm "Zai". According to the district agricultural administration, here the sugar beet harvest is 83% complete of the total area.

      At the same time, farmers are harvesting other crops. Thus, rapeseed has been threshed from 3,051 hectares, producing 4,749 tons of oilseeds. These days the machine operators have also begun threshing sunflower.

      To monitor the campaign's progress and resolve issues on the ground, the head of Zainsk District toured a number of agricultural enterprises. He personally learned about how the sugar beet harvest is progressing, spoke with specialists and machine operators directly in the field, thanking them for their selfless labor.

      "It is precisely your coordinated work, professionalism and responsibility that determine the ultimate success of the entire harvest campaign. It is important to maintain this pace and complete the harvest with quality," the head of the district said in a conversation with the farmers.

      If weather conditions are favorable and work is organized in this way, the harvest in Zainsk District should be completed within the established agrotechnical deadlines.
