A theatre festival called "Avazdash" will be held in Almetyevsk.

      Last year the organizers, performers and audience met five times.

      Plays, master classes, lectures and excursions — such a rich programme is being prepared for the residents and guests of the city at the Avazdash theatre festival, which will take place in early November. The organizers met with members of the press and spoke about the most interesting aspects.

      The Avazdash theatre festival is one such project. The word translates as "similar in aspirations." Two of the four productions are devoted to creators and their paths, while the other two deal with artistic self-expression as such: ornament and sculpture.

      "There are different programmes so there is something for different audiences: those interested in the artistic side come to Baky Urmanche, those more interested in the literary part come to Yoldyz Minnulina's play about Khasan Tufan, so I think every spectator will find something of their own in our programme," said Tufan Imamutdinov, director of the performance "Baky."

      Last year the organizers, performers and audience met five times, not counting lectures, master classes and other activities. This year the educational part of the festival will remain unchanged. You can read more about it on the project's social media. In the meantime, the creators themselves talk about their heroes.

      "I think Baky Urmanche was a man of searching, finding good, adequate forms understandable to ordinary people. He is like Tukai, only in the field of sculpture and painting," explained Tufan Imamutdinov, director of the performance "Baky."

      If one production is dedicated to an artist significant for Tatarstan, the second is to a poet and a poetess.

      "Khasan Tufan, who was also born in 1900 and died in 1981, passed through all these epochal changes of the century and carried all that poetry through himself; his devotion to poetry never left him," explained Yoldyz Minnulina, poetess.

      The festival organizers called the journalists friends and decided to hold the press conference in the most informal setting possible — with a tea party. And instead of standard questions and answers — friendly get-togethers.
