      On Tuesday, October 7, at the 753rd kilometer of the Gorky Railway near Sviyazhsk station, a serious road traffic accident occurred. At an unregulated railway crossing, a passenger train collided with a KAMAZ truck. Fortunately, there were no casualties among people. Only the train's locomotive and the heavy truck were damaged. Employees of the Kazan transport investigative department of the Central Interregional Transport Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia immediately arrived at the scene.

      As part of the ongoing inspection under the criminal article "violation of safety rules for the movement and operation of railway transport," initial measures are already being carried out. Specialists are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the inspection, a decision will be made whether to open a criminal case or not. Investigators will also determine who was at fault — the train driver or the truck driver.
