In the village of Stary Tokmak, an Alley of Glory was established in honor of the heroes, defenders of the Fatherland.

      An important event took place in a village of the Zainsk district that vividly demonstrates the unity and active civic stance of the local residents.

      As part of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland declared by the President of the Russian Federation, an "Alley of Glory" was planted in the village. The initiative to plant young fir trees, symbolizing memory and respect for the defenders of the Fatherland, belongs to the head of the Aksarinskoye rural settlement, Yuri Gilmanov. The idea was supported by the whole village. Over two days a fund-raising among the residents of Stary Tokmak and Bure-Saray was organized to purchase seedlings. In the tree planting both residents themselves and those whose families were touched by the war personally took an active part: a participant in the special military operation (SMO), Artur Tereshin; relatives of the deceased serviceman Gennady; and the mother of an SMO participant, Nadezhda Kruleva.

      "The greening work carried out will be a token of gratitude for the feat of our fellow countrymen — defenders of the Fatherland of past and present years," shared village librarian Valentina Kiseleva.
