An exhibition titled "Children of War: Heroes in White Coats" opened at the Naberezhnye Chelny Medical College.

      The photo project has been given a second life. It is based on the real stories of medical workers who survived the war. The photographs show the faces of those who preserved their humanity even on the front lines.

      Talented college students brought to life the images of heroes from the canvases of front-line artists Marat Samsonov’s "Sestritsa" and Boris Nemensky’s "Mashen'ka," filling them with emotion and warmth. Particularly striking was the reenactment of an episode of rescuing a wounded soldier from Viktor Nekrasov’s novella "In the Trenches of Stalingrad."

      A display titled "Medics During the War" was presented: a tribute to doctors and nurses. Teacher Leisan Shagvalieva noted that the project helps preserve the link between generations and shows students examples of professional heroism.

      The climax was the opening of the photo project prepared with the support of the city’s Health Department. The exhibition features portraits of medical workers — living stories of courage, compassion, and dedication to the profession. Among the guests was project participant Anira Shigabutdinova, who worked as a pediatrician for 43 years.

      "May the fates captured in the photographs serve as an example for future medical workers. Being a doctor means not only treating but also preserving faith in humanity," said college director Irina Nurgatina.

      Photographer Dmitry Andreev emphasized the symbolic role of the "red thread" that connects generations:

      "Our heroine holds a skein, as she once held the hands of her patients, helping them survive. May your life be like this skein: continuously unfolding, alive, filled with meaning and kindness," he told the students.

      The exhibition became part of the college’s educational and patriotic work.

      "Today the project serves as a reminder: every generation has its heroes — only now they wear white coats," emphasized Deputy Head of the Health Department Aigul Burganova.

      The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
