Four teenagers from Naberezhnye Chelny are under investigation for desecrating a symbol of military glory. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan. The young people, aged 15 to 17, appeared in a scandalous video in which they vandalized a fountain depicting the St. George’s ribbon. The video caused public outrage, after which law enforcement agencies began searching for those responsible. The names of all participants in the filming have been established; they turned out to be two young men and two girls.
The camera captured one of the girls splashing liquid from a bottle onto elements of the fountain. The provocative behavior of the teenagers led to the initiation of a criminal case under the relevant article. The case is under the personal supervision of the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.
