The CEO of KAMAZ, Sergey Kogogin, told Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting that the company expects to sell 50,000 trucks in Russia by year-end. The head of the auto giant clarified that KAMAZ’s market share now stands at 34%. Compared with 2024 it has doubled. He also noted that the government took timely measures to support the market, paying special attention to passenger transport.
As for exports, Kogogin said the forecast for this year is growth of 10%. At the same time, the main increase is expected not from neighboring countries but from the distant abroad (Asia, the Middle East).
Kogogin said that KAMAZ pays special attention to the production of the K5 series of all-wheel-drive vehicles. They are designed for the harsh climatic conditions of the North and are mainly purchased by oil and raw-material companies. In addition, the company is actively developing its military transport direction: six models with a high level of protection have been developed for security forces.
