      According to pension expert Anastasia Kireeva, this concerns those citizens who have recently retired. This year it concerns women aged 58 and older and men aged 63 and older. Since these people have reached retirement age and have begun to receive a pension, they will now be able to use the preferences associated with that status.

      Thus, they will be able to receive discounts in stores upon presenting a pensioner’s ID. In particular, such benefits for pensioners exist at Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Magnit. Elderly people can receive a discount on goods in supermarkets in the amount of 10 percent.

      According to the expert, mainly stores provide such discounts to pensioners at certain times, most often before noon on weekdays. But it is better to check the information in each specific case. And to receive the benefit, you will need to show a pensioner’s ID, passport, or a certificate of pension assignment at the checkout.
