      The executive committee of Naberezhnye Chelny allocated more than three million rubles for the development of design and estimate documentation for the major renovation of the Zaman youth center. Work is planned to be completed by the end of October.

      The reconstruction project includes: a major overhaul of the three‑storey building, creation of a sports ground, construction of an open‑air stage with 70 seats, provision of staff rest areas, installation of a fence and an outdoor lighting system, landscaping of the grounds with a container area, reconstruction of the entrance areas and a complete reconfiguration of the interior premises.

      The center’s renovation is scheduled for next year and will be the first large‑scale transformation in nearly 30 years of the institution’s operation. The updated building is planned to house career guidance laboratories, a choreography hall, a sports field with phygital games, an esports hall and a cafeteria.

      The last partial repair of the building was carried out in 2008, and repairs have been carried out over the past three years (roof, electrical and heating). Previously the facility was repeatedly criticized by townspeople for its unsatisfactory condition and failure to meet the requirements of a modern youth center.
