There are more than 15,500 cultural volunteers in Tatarstan.

      There are more than 15.5 thousand cultural volunteers in the Republic of Tatarstan, and 15 branches of the "Volunteers of Culture" movement operating in support of the national project "Youth and Children." Local branches of the movement have been opened in five municipal districts of the republic and in Kazan, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan reported.

      Volunteer centers in the field of culture have been opened on the basis of the Robert Minnullin Republican Children's Library and the N.I. Feshin Kazan Art School. Various volunteer programs and projects aimed at providing assistance are being implemented within the centers. Volunteers take part in organizing and holding library events, assist in implementing social initiatives, run charity campaigns, and much more.

      In the third quarter of 2025, more than 1.2 thousand events involving cultural volunteers were held in the republic.

      "In the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, one of the priority tasks of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan is to involve cultural volunteers in the preservation, popularization and restoration of memorial sites, memorials and monuments, including those dedicated to outstanding figures of culture and regional history, which is especially relevant in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945," said Damir Natfullin, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      The regional branch of the "Volunteers of Culture" movement in Tatarstan is considered one of the leading and most active public volunteer movements among all regions of the Russian Federation. The republic has repeatedly been recognized as the "Best Region of Cultural Volunteering" and has ranked in the top 10 by number of cultural volunteers among all federal subjects of the Russian Federation.

      The head of the regional branch of the "Volunteers of Culture" movement in Tatarstan, Gulfiya Mutugullina, was awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for her participation in the implementation of the "Volunteers of Culture" program and her fruitful work, and was also awarded the "Volunteer of Russia" badge.

      "Being an example for those who help is probably one of the most important missions in my life. I thank our Government for the high appraisal of my 20-year volunteer life! This year marks 10 years of my main project 'I am a DobroTvorets' and how wonderful it is to know that there is support even at such a high level. I am sure that many deserve such an award, but it is truly pleasant to be among the first not only in my beloved republic, but in the country," shares Gulfiya Mutugullina.

      In September of this year, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican Forum "MKM: Youth Culture Management 2025" was held for young people and activists of local branches of the "Volunteers of Culture" movement in Tatarstan.

      Forty cultural volunteers from 19 districts of the republic took part in the forum; meetings and master classes were held, including a meeting with Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Damir Natfullin; 14 letters of appreciation from the federal Directorate of the public movement "Volunteers of Culture" were presented; and five new unique project ideas were developed as part of the development strategy of the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Culture" of the national project "Youth and Children" through 2030.
