Ayrat Fayzrakhmanov has been appointed acting head of the National Museum of Tatarstan.

      Ayrat Faizrakhmanov has been appointed acting general director of the National Museum of Tatarstan. The museum staff were introduced to the new head by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irada Ayupova, the ministry’s press service reports.

      The minister wished the acting general director success and productive work in his new position, noting his extensive experience and deep professional knowledge, the press service said.

      Ayrat Shamilievich Faizrakhmanov is a graduate of the Faculty of History of Kazan State University and holds a Candidate of Historical Sciences degree. His entire life has been devoted to studying and popularizing the rich cultural and historical heritage of Tatarstan, the ministry emphasized.

      Faizrakhmanov is the author of historical essays and articles in popular publications, as well as of tour routes through the historic settlements (slobody) of Kazan and through Zakazanye. Since May 2020 he has headed the Department of Interaction with Public Organizations of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      Alisa Vyatkina, who had headed the National Museum of Tatarstan since 2022, left the post of general director last week, as reported by "Tatar-inform."
