Metshin: Kazan residents consult AI every minute, but don't know how to use a toilet.

      More than 13,000 sewer blockages caused by personal hygiene items and wipes were cleared in nine months by employees of Kazan's municipal unitary enterprise Vodokanal. That's about 50 cases a day, the company's general director Rustam Abdulkhakov said at a business Monday at the mayor's office.

      "Fifty blockages a day! This is the result of residents' irresponsibility. Literally anything is flushed down the toilet. People have learned to use smartphones, consult artificial intelligence every minute, but, unfortunately, using the toilet respectfully toward the networks, the city and the municipal services is a problem," commented the mayor of the capital of Tatarstan, Ilsur Metshin.

      Abdulkhakov also said that over three quarters there were 898 failures in the water supply networks in Kazan and 126 in the sewage networks. The wear of the city's engineering communications and structures exceeds 70%.
