Open Day at the Kazan Tank School: a step toward a career as a defender of the Motherland

      On October 24 an Open Day was held at the Kazan Higher Tank Command School, attended by 50 senior high school students.

      On October 24 an Open Day was held at the Kazan Higher Red Banner Tank Command School, attended by 50 students in grades 9–11. The event became an important stage of career guidance work aimed at fostering in adolescents a conscious approach to choosing a future profession and serving the Fatherland. For the guests a rich program was prepared. The students watched a documentary film about the history of the founding and development of the Kazan Tank School, its combat traditions and its outstanding graduates who made a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s defense capability. Representatives of the command and the school’s instructors spoke about the key stages in the establishment of the educational institution, the modern system for training officers and the conditions for admission. Special attention was paid to admission rules, candidate requirements, the procedure for undergoing medical examinations and document processing. The students received answers to all questions of interest related to the specifics of training, discipline and the living conditions of cadets. During a tour of the school grounds the students became acquainted with the training facilities, the modern equipment of classrooms, the library and sports facilities. The technical outfitting of the training premises—modern simulators, interactive complexes and laboratories that contribute to the formation of practical skills in future officers—left a particular impression. Teachers noted that choosing the profession of a servicemember requires responsibility, discipline and a high level of motivation. However, military service today remains a prestigious and respected field, providing stability, professional growth and the opportunity to serve for the benefit of the country.

      The event became a powerful incentive for many participants to think about their future and to consider a military career as a path of honor, duty and service to the Motherland.
