      The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Tatarstan appealed to residents of the republic, urging them to observe safety rules during the upcoming holidays. Since November 1, navigation for all types of small vessels in the region has been officially closed. Violators face administrative liability in the form of a fine of up to 15,000 rubles and confiscation of the vessel.

      Rescuers also reminded people about fire safety: since the beginning of the year more than 3,000 fires have occurred in the region, and 104 people have died. Specialists recommend installing standalone smoke detectors, not leaving electrical appliances unattended, and refraining from smoking indoors. Water temperatures in bodies of water do not exceed 4–5 degrees Celsius, which creates a direct threat to life.
