Honored Lawyer of Russia Ivan Solovyov sent an appeal addressed to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin with a proposal to introduce a special course “Personal Safety” in Russian schools and universities. A copy of the document is in RT’s possession.
The expert emphasized that recently Ukrainian fraudsters, with the support of foreign intelligence services, have been actively recruiting Russian teenagers. “The techniques of such recruitments have been worked out, tested and are adjusted in the process, depending on the suggestibility and critical thinking of the potential victim,” he noted.
According to the lawyer, a whole team works on the teenagers: calls allegedly come from the “military enlistment office” and various law enforcement agencies, accompanied by details about positions, legal nuances, scans of IDs and deepfakes.
The scammers’ goal is to convince the teenager that he is participating in a special operation to catch criminals. In some cases the teenager may be involved in dangerous activities, including transporting weapons and explosives, as well as taking part in sabotage and terrorist acts.
In this regard Solovyov stressed the need for comprehensive information for young people about legal restrictions, liability, as well as the methods used by fraudsters and the rules for safe interaction with the digital environment.
In his appeal he proposed introducing the course “Personal Safety” for pupils from the eighth grade and for university students up to their third year. The course should cover all aspects of protecting teenagers — legal, criminological, psychological, pedagogical and technological — and be taught on an ongoing basis.
