JSC Transneft-Prikamye released over 100,000 juvenile fish into bodies of water.

      JSC "Transneft — Prikamye" completed work on the restoration of aquatic biological resources in 2025.

      Environmental measures were carried out in the company’s regions of operation — on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Udmurt Republic, Ulyanovsk and Samara oblasts. The final action was the release of 35 thousand sterlet fingerlings into the Kuybyshev Reservoir in the Republic of Tatarstan. In total this year, at the initiative of the company, the waters of the Kuybyshev, Votkinsk, Nizhnekamsk and Saratov reservoirs were replenished with more than 100 thousand fingerlings of valuable commercial fish — 16 thousand sazan (common carp), 1 thousand silver carp and more than 86 thousand sterlet. The average weight of each fingerling was from 3 to 5 grams.

      Taking into account factors ensuring high survival rates of the fingerlings, release sites were determined by specialists from the All-Russian Research Institute of Freshwater Fisheries. The young fish were transported from fish farms by specialized vehicles in compliance with all conditions.

      Representatives of the territorial offices of the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo) attended the artificial reproduction events. Specialists from the federal agency confirmed the satisfactory condition of the fingerlings.

      The release of young fish contributes to the restoration of populations of valuable fish species in the waters of the regions where JSC "Transneft — Prikamye" operates. Artificial reproduction measures are carried out annually as part of the corporate program to preserve biodiversity in the areas where Transneft's facilities are present.

      From 2020 to 2025, at the initiative of the company, more than 5.5 million young valuable commercial fish were released into rivers and reservoirs.
