The rite of consecration of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord was performed in the village of Bilyar-Ozero.
Here, large-scale celebrations took place in the year marking the 155th anniversary of the local pearl — the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
This historical and architectural monument gathered many parishioners, clergy and officials on the festive day.
The celebrations began with a festive Divine Liturgy, which brought together believers not only from the Nurlat district but also guests from the neighboring Samara region.
Honored guests attended the celebration — the head of the Nurlat Municipal District Damir Ishkineev, Bishop Pakhomiy of Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk, and others. The bishop performed the rite of the Great Consecration of the church, which became the main spiritual event of the celebration.
At the conclusion of the liturgy, clergy addressed those gathered with words of congratulations. The rector of the church, Father Sergiy Egorov, congratulated the congregation on the momentous date, noting the long history of the church and its role in the life of the village.
The visit of the ruling hierarch gave special significance to the event. Bishop Pakhomiy of Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk congratulated everyone present on the important occasion and wished parishioners and villagers peace, goodness and well-being.
The celebrations continued with awards and ended with refreshments; parishioners and guests of the celebration could help themselves to aromatic pilaf, hot tea with pastries and sweets.
