KIU College identified the best young professionals in the field of trade.

      It has become a good tradition to hold the Professional Skills Olympiad in Trade on World Quality Day. On November 13, the II Republican Professional Skills Olympiad in Trade for students of colleges and technical schools was held at the V.G. Timiryasov Kazan Innovative University together with the Council of Directors of Vocational Education Institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. It was attended by 39 students from 7 secondary vocational education institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan in the specialties: "Trade", "Commodity Science and Examination of the Quality of Consumer Goods", "Commerce".

      At the entrance to the KIU college building arriving participants were greeted by volunteers and the mascot – the KIU Kitty. Welcome speeches were made by the college director of KIU, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Khadiullina Y.V.; the inspirational founder of the Olympiad, PhD in History, Associate Professor Rychkov S.Yu.; Head of the Department of Management and Marketing, PhD in Social Sciences, Associate Professor Yusupova G.R.; and the Head of the HR and Corporate Culture Department of LLC Metro Cash & Carry, Lokotunina Y.V.

      One of the main tasks was to assess students' ability to perform independent professional activities.

      The participants of the Olympiad completed three practical tasks. The professional comprehensive task corresponded in content and level of difficulty to the federal state educational standards of secondary vocational education for specialties 38.02.04 Commerce (by sectors), 38.02.05 Commodity Science and Examination of the Quality of Consumer Goods, 38.02.08 Trade, taking into account the main provisions of professional standards and employers' requirements for the level of training of middle-level specialists.

      All participants of the Olympiad received certificates and commemorative gifts from KIU and learned about the opportunities available to students at our university.

      3. Shabakova Tatyana Yuryevna, student of the Naberezhnye Chelny Technological Technical School, supervisors - Batalova Tatyana Vyacheslavovna and Fidjukovich Irina Vladimirovna;

      4. Moshnina Maria Andreevna, student of the College of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, supervisor - Artyukhina Tatyana Sergeevna;

      1. Byzov Demid Alexandrovich, student of the International College of Service, supervisor - Lipanina Larisa Alexandrovna;

      2. Bolotnikov Alexander Romanovich, student of the College of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, supervisors - Minapova Roza Yavdatovna and Khuzina Liliya Mikhadovna;

      3. Avdeeva Viktoria Alexeevna, student of the Kazan College of Construction, Architecture and Urban Economy, supervisor - Stepanova Galina Stanislavovna;

      4. Ozminskaya Anastasia Vladimirovna, student of the Kazan Trade and Economic Technical School, supervisors - Galeeva Laysan Nailevna and Shulaev Alexander Igorevich.

      Winners and prize-winners received diplomas of the established form after the Olympiad results were summarized. The results will be officially announced within the next three days (after the Olympiad) on the website of Kazan Innovative University.
