An exhibition about Donbas volunteers opened in Kazan.

      A photo exhibition titled "Donbass. Volunteers. Stories" opened in Kazan at the Public Support Headquarters of United Russia, organized by the interregional charitable organization Food for Life. The exhibition tells about the work of volunteers who provide assistance to residents of Donbass and in the areas of the special military operation.

      The idea for the exhibition was born within the discussion club of supporters of the party "Development of NGOs in Russia." Deputies of the Kazan City Duma, representatives of socially oriented NGOs, philanthropists and party activists attended the opening.

      The organization Food for Life has been working in Russia since 1988, beginning with aid to victims of the earthquake in Armenia. The charity currently operates 63 branches in 32 regions of the country. Since 2014 volunteers have been providing assistance to residents of Donbass, and since February 2022 three stationary camps have been operating in the area of the special military operation, where thousands of people receive meals daily.

      The exhibition is based on real stories of volunteers — both local residents of Donbass and volunteers from across Russia. The display demonstrates their work, the risks and the spiritual support they provide to people in difficult conditions.

      "The exhibition clearly shows that volunteer service is a true feat, standing alongside military duty. Like defenders of the Fatherland, volunteers risk their lives every day while carrying out a humanitarian mission," said Kazan City Duma deputy Ruslan Minabutdinov. Photo: tatarstan.er.ru
