Director of the Bugulma Drama Theatre detained on suspicion of fraud
35‑year‑old Elvira Sibgatullina Chelik. This was reported by sources of BUSINESS Online. The theatre itself declined to comment, only specifying that Natalya Markovets has been appointed acting director.
Investigative authorities have opened a criminal case against Sibgatullina Chelik under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed using an official position"). According to the publication’s interlocutors, the theatre director is accused of awarding illegal bonuses totaling more than 700,000 rubles. Two episodes are recorded in the case. On Sunday the Bugulma City Court ruled to place the suspect in custody — she was sent to a pretrial detention center.
