      On the evening of November 20, a rare astronomical event occurred in the sky over Naberezhnye Chelny — residents of the city witnessed a meteor fall. The celestial body was captured by smart intercom cameras. Judging by the video, at 17:39 the meteor streaked brightly and completely disintegrated in the dense layers of the atmosphere, not reaching the Earth's surface. According to eyewitnesses, the event was silent and was not accompanied by any sound effects.

      Recall that, according to the director of the V.P. Engelhardt Observatory, Professor Yuri Nefedyev of Kazan Federal University, this is a rather unusual phenomenon for a populated area, since most meteors fall into the ocean expanses that cover much of the planet.
