Today a truly festive atmosphere reigned at the Yegorkino Rural House of Culture.
A traditional charity concert was held here, timed to the village’s patronal feast – the Feast of the Archangel Michael. Creative ensembles and amateur performers from the town and district presented bright numbers to support a noble cause – the construction of a church in honor of the village’s heavenly patron, the Archangel Michael. Everyone who wished could make a feasible contribution by donating to continue the construction of the local shrine.
The rector, Priest Dionisy Vyrdin, congratulated all those gathered on the patronal feast. In his address he expressed sincere gratitude for the work and wholehearted support to everyone who contributes their part to the important cause of the church’s revival.
The day once again showed how the residents of Yegorkino and those originally from the village unite to preserve their spiritual traditions and cultural heritage. More than 200,000 rubles were raised at the charity concert.
