      Russia is discussing the introduction of an SMS alert system to inform citizens about possible calls from scammers. The initiative is part of the second package of bills aimed at strengthening the fight against cybercrime, Deputy Chairman of the Council for the Development of the Digital Economy under the Federation Council, Senator Artem Sheykin, told TASS in an interview. According to Sheykin, the bill "Cyberbez 2.0" foresees a number of measures against cybercriminals, including blocking phishing sites without a court ruling and the introduction of an SMS notification system. Such a system will warn citizens if an incoming call is highly likely to be fraudulent. Cybersecurity specialists together with psychologists are analyzing fraudsters’ methods of operation in order to create a mechanism that can protect a citizen from fraudulent schemes at any stage, the senator noted.
