      The 20th Congress of Municipalities of Tatarstan will be held on December 18 of the current year, 2025. The corresponding decision was made today at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan, the organization’s press service reports.

      The Presidium meeting was attended by the Council Chairman Ekzam Gubaydullin, Head of the Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, and representatives of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      The Congress of Municipalities of Tatarstan is one of the largest and most extensive domestic political events in the republic. The forum will be attended by 1,360 delegates and invited guests.

      Among the congress participants will be the heads of 956 municipal formations, representatives of republican state bodies, local council deputies who are participants in the special military operation, veterans of local self-government, and leaders of public organizations.

      Regular participants of the congress include the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, ministers and heads of republican departments, and deputies of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from Tatarstan.
