In Nizhnekamsk, police detained a drunk Renault Logan driver after a pursuit. The man ignored traffic police inspectors' order to stop and tried to flee, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan reported.
The driver was traveling at high speed, endangering other road users. During the chase he collided with two patrol cars and attempted to escape, but was detained.
The driver was a 41-year-old resident of Nizhnekamsk. Several administrative reports were drawn up against him: for refusing to undergo an alcohol test, failure to comply with a lawful order of a police officer, and leaving the scene of an accident. The car was impounded.
Earlier, in October, the same driver had already been held administratively liable for refusing a medical examination. The possibility of initiating a criminal case is currently being considered.
