      In Tatarstan a local resident is accused of violating sanitary rules that led to a mass illness. The investigation has completed the criminal case against the former administrator of the Kazan health-and-educational complex "Duslyk." The woman is charged under Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan reported.

      According to the investigation, in January 2025 she allowed breaches of sanitary rules at the facility. Among them were permitting an employee with signs of an infectious disease to work and the absence of medical documents for another worker in the food unit. These violations resulted in 38 students and accompanying persons falling ill from January 15 to 17. The administrator did not remove the sick, which contributed to the spread of the infection.

      The investigation has gathered a sufficient evidentiary base. The criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court.
