Tatarstan extends the application period for Transport Grant 2025.

      The transport grant provides monthly financial support to students studying at professional and higher education institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. Recipients will be young people with grades of “good” and “excellent,” with no academic debts. Participants in the Competition include citizens of the Russian Federation, citizens of foreign states, and stateless persons — students aged from 14 to 35 (inclusive), studying in full-time secondary vocational and higher education programs at higher education institutions and vocational educational organizations.

      Participants in the Competition are students belonging to one of the following categories:

      A student who has most actively distinguished themself in research, public, cultural-creative, or sports activities, having academic grades of “good” and/or “excellent.” Based on the results of the last assessment, they have no academic debts for the entire period of study (hereinafter — Socially Active Student);

      A student falling into the socially needy category, having academic grades of “good” and/or “excellent” based on the results of the last assessment, and having no academic debts for the entire period of study (hereinafter — Socially Needy Student).

      The Competition is held in four stages:

      I stage — “Application campaign” (participants submit an application to participate in the Competition on the website https://ligastudentov.com) (10-01.12.2025).

      II stage — “Processing of applications and determination of winners” (until 24.12.2025).

      III stage — “Issuance and registration of Resident Cards of the Republic of Tatarstan.”

      IV stage — “Payments of financial support” (January–June 2026).

      “Students of Tatarstan are the most active category of our youth. They work actively, engage in scientific research, sports, and creativity, value time with family, and are building their future. Studenthood is the heart and driver of the republic’s youth policy,” notes First Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs Sofya Galieva-Mustafina. “We understand that transport expenses are a significant item in their budgets. The transport grant substantially helps to reduce them. It is not full compensation, but it is a large and real support that gives our students that very key to the city, allowing them to focus on their achievements rather than the cost of travel.”

      Winners of the Competition in the 2024–2025 academic year were 5,730 students from vocational educational organizations and higher education institutions. In 2024, 8,861 applications were submitted to the Competition from 153 educational institutions, 41 of which were higher education institutions and 112 professional public organizations.

      The amount of financial support is 11,000 rubles for students of Kazan universities and colleges, 10,000 rubles for students studying in Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, and Yelabuga, and 8,000 rubles for students from other municipal districts of the republic. In 2024, 8,861 students from 153 educational institutions took part in the competition. Winners numbered 5,730 students. The organizers of the competition are the Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Regional Youth Public Organization “League of Students of RT.”
