      The head of the Juvenile Affairs Division of the Interior Ministry Directorate for the city of Kazan, Police Lieutenant Colonel Diana Bagautdinova, spoke about the prevention of offenses among minors, forms of cooperation between the police and educational institutions, and the liability for participating in fraud schemes in which young people often become couriers. The speaker paid particular attention to the prevention of remote fraud. She gave examples of popular fraud schemes in which teenagers, agreeing to work as couriers, become accomplices to crimes. She also told teachers about a fraud method in which perpetrators pose as heads of various organizations, falsify their messenger app profiles and use them to contact subordinates. She urged teachers not to follow instructions from suspicious individuals unconditionally and to verify the authenticity of information before carrying out any actions. The lieutenant colonel answered teachers’ questions, provided information on measures to prevent telephone fraud, and distributed leaflets with safety advice.
