Citizens of Kyrgyzstan residing in Tatarstan will be able to take part in the elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh — the parliament of their native country. For many of them this is the only opportunity to vote without traveling back home. Alina Almakayeva will explain how this will take place and why every vote matters.
Citizens of Kyrgyzstan residing in Tatarstan will be able to take part in the elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh — the parliament of their native country. For many of them this is the only opportunity to vote without traveling back home. We will explain how this will happen and why every vote is important in the report.
Dinara Nusipaeva moved from Kyrgyzstan to Tatarstan several years ago. The last time she voted at home was in 2021. The woman says she always goes to elections because she knows how important every vote is. The opportunity to elect deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh exists even far from home.
The Nusipayev — Rustamov family have been in Kazan for three years. They work, study, their children do sports and closely follow what is happening back home in Kyrgyzstan. Dinara’s grandson Vildan is only 12; he says that when he grows up he will definitely go to the polling station too.
Electronic ballot boxes have been brought to Tatarstan. On November 30 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. citizens of Kyrgyzstan will be able to vote in the early elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. Two polling stations are open in Tatarstan: in Kazan — in the shopping center at 6 Spartakovskaya Street, and in Naberezhnye Chelny — in the House of Friendship of Peoples “Rodnik”, complex 32, building 24. For more than two thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan this is an opportunity to cast their vote for the well-being of their homeland without leaving the territory of Russia. In total there will be 40 polling stations in Russia, including in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk.
For Dinara and her family this is not just a formality — it is a way to be heard and to influence the future of the republic.
