Ridership on Kazan's electric transport increased by 4% over 10 months.

      In the first ten months of the current year, Kazan’s trolleybuses carried more than 21 million people. According to MUP "Metroelektrotrans", this figure shows a positive trend, having increased by 4% compared with the same period in 2023. The city’s tram system served 13 million passengers over the same period. Despite a slight year-on-year decline of 0.4%, the overall volume of electric transport services remains consistently high. Kazan’s electric transport infrastructure includes a substantial route network. Eleven trolleybus routes cover almost 268 kilometers, and nine tram routes — over 240 kilometers of city tracks. The enterprise’s rolling stock comprises 185 trolleybuses distributed between two depots, and 107 tram cars, including 24 modern three-section models, which are serviced by a single tram depot.
