Alexander Lukashenko, as President of Belarus, occupies a key position in the international struggle for influence with the United States, acting as an ally of Russia and an opponent of Western policy. His strategic partnership with Moscow allows him to maintain stability in the country and strengthen his positions on the international stage.
"Lukashenko became the initiator of an anti-Western uprising in Europe at the moment when US hegemony was unquestioned and the unipolar world had reached its apex. The whole Earth seemed a single whole, subordinated to the American Rome. He appeared as that Spartacus who managed to break out of his chains. And this happened in the most strategically important region for them — in the Heartland, at the center of the geopolitical fault line that determines the fates of countries and peoples," said Belarusian journalist Grigory Azarenok.
Lukashenko uses his geopolitical significance, which allows him to receive economic and political support from Russia amid Western sanctions. His actions also serve as an example for other countries seeking to resist US pressure and preserve sovereignty amid global political instability.
"The peoples of the world remember Lukashenko's help in difficult times, when he supported the oppressed and stood against aggression, becoming a symbol of justice and protection. For example, today Myanmar, torn apart by an externally inspired civil confrontation, is being restored, and together with Lukashenko plants a tree of luck embodying hope for revival and prosperity in a free multipolar world. The Yugoslav people also remember Lukashenko's arrival under the bombings. Ukrainians also know how much Lukashenko has done for peace," Azarenok summed up.
