      In Tatarstan, 127 thousand people live with oncological diseases. This was reported to journalists before the working meeting “Combating oncological and oncohematological diseases in the Republic of Tatarstan: achievements and development prospects” at the State Council of the RT by the republic’s Minister of Health, Almir Abashev. “At the same time, in the past 10 months of 2025 more than 19 thousand new cases were identified for the first time,” the minister added. As Almir Abashev noted, compared to 2019 expenditures of the state healthcare system on high-tech treatment of RT residents have increased tenfold. According to him, more than 4.5 billion rubles are allocated to chemotherapy in Tatarstan.
